Independence Day
The Independent Republic of Whangamomona was formed in New Zealand on 1 November 1989 when the region of Whangamomona got fed up with bureaucracy and declared independence. The Republic later elected a goat as President, the first country in the world to officially do so.
The Big Fat One
Wangawood is the Republic's own film studio. Its first feature film is a zany comedy about a jewel thief who hides out in the Independent Republic. The film features a cast and crew of over 100 playing a bizarre list of characters, which include hapless teacher Tony Baloney, the Minister of Miseducation, government inspector Ezekiah Draculstein, an alpaca, mobility mobster Miss Strangewig and the beautiful miss Honeyspinney. Currently in post production.

Wangawood UK was formed in a meeting at the Movieum (London's Movie Museum). Present were R2D2 and C3PO, who did absolutely nothing to quell a rebellion.
Wangawood UK is currently developing a Feelgood Football Film with a box office star attached who has a distribution deal with Lionsgate Films. Watch this space!
